This beautiful piece of Oregon White Oak suffered from Iron-Poisoning when a piece of metal was lodged into the tree during its life. The Iron-Poisoning flowed through the grain of the tree to reveal an incredible likeness to the female form. It is a stunning example of mother nature's random ability to create something beautiful from adversity. The warped, white oak board is sanded just enough to reveal the beauty of the wood, while still honoring the the source of the iron poisoning, mill markings, etc. It is mounted, floating about 1" off the surface of a thick single piece of salvaged old growth Fir that has been charred black. The piece is equipped with a French Cleat for proper wall mounting. This is a truly special, one of a kind piece that could never be duplicated. Dimensions are: 18" Wide x 26" Tall x 5" Thick. $6,000 - Includes Shipping within United States.
